Girlwonder is Molly Wright Steenson's blog and online home since 1995. I'm a Ph.D. candidate at Princeton University in the School of Architecture. I'm writing a dissertation about artificial intelligence and architecture, with a specific focus on Nicholas Negroponte and the MIT Architecture Machine Group. I also research a lot of other things: British cybernetics and architecture, 19th century postal services and pneumatic tube systems.
I'm a designer, researcher and strategist who studies how technology and infrastructure fit into our lives. Since 1994, I've worked with the web, with mobile technology since 2003, and with what we now call social media since 1992. I also was a professor at the Interaction Design Institute Ivrea in Italy.
I love traveling, design, architecture, food, travel, knitting, running, languages, gardening, talking, knitting writing and indie rock. My superpower is that i know someone you know.
